Sky Hop Bus: 1 or 2-Day Hop-On Hop-Off Tour of Tokyo

I'm not sure it works in Tokyo. You're stuck in between high rise buildings with not much to see and lots of traffic lights. We did the route to see possible places to visit but I fell asleep 😴 Probably not the b star I'm afraid!

It didn't start well. I had downloaded the timetable only to find out that there was a revised timetable which meant that we missed the first bus by 5 minutes. On the plus side extra busses were added so we managed to complete all 3 routes. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get off at any point as we were concerned that we wouldn't be able to get on the next bus, they were all quite full.

Getting tickets was easy and I really enjoyed that this was a good way to drive around and see the sights while listening to a recorded tour, which you wouldn't get on the subway. The timetables for the green and blue lines are a bit frustrating though. After 10am there isn't another bus until 1/2pm which isn't helpful if trying to get to Shibuya/Shinjuku/Tokyo Tower areas.

Access to many areas of Tokyo. Great to be above ground to see the sites. Would have liked more commentary and no background music during the commentary. More buses would have allowed us to feel happy we would be able to get a seat later in the afternoon. Staff were not giving priority to people who had already purchased tickets. Therefore there were ques.

Loved being able to see a lot in a short amount of available time. Only drama was the announcements of stops were played over the top if the commentary making us miss some info.

The routes were amazing. You could really see all the beauty of Tokyo. Definitely arrive early and take your time on each route. Our favorite part was the Tokyo tower stop, the view from the bus was breathtaking, loved it so so much. ❤️❤️ You can hop on at any bus stop but I recommend to check in the interactive map first where exactly is the stop because we lost so much time looking for the stop with the writen instructions rather than clicking the map 🤦🏻‍♀️ (it directs u to ggmaps). Overall awesome experience 100%recommend. (Ps: make sure the ticket u buy is valid to change to a different day within the month or season and not an specific day in case the Tokyo weather decides to show its ugly side haha)

We couldn't use the green route, where our hotel was, to connect to the red route, the main tourist route. This was because we would have had to have waited several hours for the green route bus. We had to use the metro instead. Apart from that, the service was good. But consequently not awesome.

A great way to get familar with the surrounding areas around Shinjuku. Very worthwhile! There was one bus that didn't have much covered seating on the top deck and one of the front monitors wasn't working. Such a shame being that it was a premium seat; good for a child/toddler who had no interest in the narration. Otherwise, would recommend highly.

Very well organized! Very comfortable ride with AC even on top deck! Very convenient eay to get sn overview of the city! Great 👍

Good to see Tokyo above ground and see areas of interest easily. Schedules did not allow us to hop off and experience the areas quickly (i.e. 30 minutes) to allow more stops. When we did get off for Asaskusa, it was not clear how to get to the 2nd Asakusa pick up point. We spent more time navigating back than at the actual site to ensure we did not miss our pick- up.

Ticketing worked great. Smooth experience getting on the bus. The bus routes are good. However, the negative was the on board agent talking over the recorded narration. Also, we would have preferred no background music during the narration. We loved the routes and spaced out stops.

We loved our guide Andrew - thought he was funny and full of energy. The tour itself was really good. What would make it better was to have more time at the stop to have something to eat. That was very rushed whereas the stop prior everyone was sitting around doing nothing.

The hostesses and assistants were very helpful. Music of audio gudie was poor , the quality, relevance and depth of insights inadequate, stops not frequent enough. The equipment unsatisfactory

The stop was near our hotel, the routes where we'll distributed. The only thing that could improve is adding another route, and maybe end by 7.

I loved flying over the bridge over Tokyo Bay with the wind in my hair, the high towers and the autumn colour of the Ginkgo trees. So beautiful!

The ability to take the different buses, and get off and on. Just wish during bookkng it was more clear on where to catch the bus. It just told us the Mistibushi. Mistibushi is huge with different entrance and exits. It took us almost 45 min and many missed buses to find it.

Bring up on top in the open air was a wonderful way to see the sights - the 3 circuits are really popular and the buses became crowded. Some of the buses are enclosed without the open top. It would be great if they ran more buses with more frequency.

the first day was pretty good, the second day was so hot we had to get off at the first stop becasue of fear of heatstroke... no seats in the bottom of the bus and that really was bad...usually there are seats in the bottom with air conditioning on these types of tour buses. That would have been very helpful. We were not able to tour the second day at all, so we felt we wasted money for the second day.

Loved that there were 3 routes that were included... really gave you a feel for the city.

The routes, the meeting point in tokyo and the facilites to buy the tickets. It was a great experiencia.
